Literacy development
Literacy learning focuses on practical writing strategies that support clear structure, effective expression, and deeper comprehension. Students learn how to approach and master all types of comprehension questions with confidence. Presentation and communication skills are strengthened through group discussions, projects and debating.
Nurturing a Growth-Mindset
Empower Academy is a comprehensive learning program focused on developing a growth mindset, self-belief, and self-confidence in students. The program teaches learners how to train their minds effectively, building resilience, independence, and a positive approach to learning.
Gaeilge
Gaeilge learning focuses on practical oral language that supports clear and effective expression through a variety of themes from the Primary Language Curriculum. Students learn how to use verbs purposefully to create simple sentences in a fun environment using role play and other engaging activities. Students vocabulary is enhanced through a variety of interactive games.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
STEM learning is delivered through hands-on, enquiry-based activities that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving. Students collaboratively and independently design and engineer solutions using digital tools, measurement, and logical thinking, refining their ideas through reflection and critique to build confidence as innovative thinkers.
Mathematics
Mathematics learning focuses on explicit problem-solving strategies that help students confidently tackle word problems, using multiple representations such as models, symbols, and verbal explanations. Students learn to apply all mathematical operations and engage with all areas of the new Primary Maths Curriculum, developing critical thinking skills and deep understanding.
